Remember going to Peterboro' and the fans singing 'his grandad bombed Hull'
My Grandpa intercepted allied forces messages, decoded them, then translated them, all while my Grandma's Mum was English and 2 of them (greta aunt and uncle lived in England, and 2 of them (my Grandma and great aunt) lived in Germany. It was all seriously ****ed up and really not a representation of the every day person. My great aunt who lived in Germany during the war (and ended up marrying my uncle from Kirkella) always told me they had to beg the American soldiers for supplies on a daily basis.

My Mum always reckoned that her Grandfather was in a position within the French Government when the First World War broke out and because he was married to a German woman, he was given two options, send his wife and young children to Germany on their own or resign and go with them. Unsurprisingly, he chose the latter.
Don’t know how accurate this is but looking forward to properly researching it once I fully retire. My Grandad and his Father were both born in Strasbourg.

Went to Frieburg as a kid, so went through Strasbourg, right on the border. Beautiful as I remember it. Some mental stories from the war.

Koumas is now our 17th different scorer (excluding own goals). We've beaten the number of different scorers in the 2012/13. Just been having a look and we actually had 20 different scorers last season (excluding own goals).

Surprised by last season. From memory we didn't get many from defenders at set pieces which you'd think would limit the overall number, but I suppose we did have a big squad with a lot of different attackers and midfielders who probably all scored the odd one.

Only one goal from a centre back all season (Hughes). Drameh, Coyle & Jacob were the only other defenders to score.

Bedia, Simons, Oscar & Longman all scored and then were moved on at various points. Like you say, 11 players scored 1 and 3 more scored 2, so that's 15 out of the 20 different scorers.

Alzate, Joseph, Omur, Mehlem, Lincoln, Barry & Amrabat were all midfielders / attackers who didn't score in the league either. I know a couple of them barely played, but it shows the churn. Then you have players like Millar, Belloumi and Matazo who all played a few, scored then did ACLs, and Zambrano who played a few, scored and got banned.

Mehlem scored in the League Cup against Sheffield Wednesday - perhaps you are looking at League goals only.
