Kiwi, not sure how you didn't score last night. Jay has never been prolific, but he did miss a few golden opportunities. He's not a natural in front of goal and needs to bust a gut to get to the 6 yard box when Wright-Phillips gets the ball. I think goals will come with the recent signings you've made. He'll also bring Barton and the likes into the game with his hold up play.

Graham needs a goal sharpish before his confidence is shot. Not sure he's a 'back to goal' target man who will bring the Swans midfield into the game either.

I hope you beat WBA because you need points on the board. Promoted teams that stay up usually have a good autumn and then hang on to what they've got. Not many dig themselves out of a hole.

Graham needs to be given his chance on Saturday but if he doesn't do the business after 60 mins changes need to me made. Like many others my patience is running out with Mr Graham and it's time for him to deliver. He works very hard for sure and was exremely unlucky to have the Arsenal keeper make a world class save on Saturday but if he keeps missing chances he should be subbed earlier. Asking a sub to change the game with only 10 or 25 mins to go is unfair.

I still think he's got more than enough talent to do the business for us in this League but time is running out.

I watched both games on Sky on Sunday and I genuinely believe we are better than Fulham, WBA, Blackburn or Norwich. The difference is that most of those teams put at least one of their limited number of chances away.

However, you could get more than us if we didn't take that advantage. For instance if we were getting the crowds you were in the championship last year. Then we'd have even more empty seats than anthill is pointing out at the moment.

You desperately need a win against teams in the relegation mini league you find yourselves in.

i think once we get 1 in we will be fine infront of goal. its like you guys dont the road have jinxed us not to get a goal all season. lol

Seriously, I've said it before, I'd be happy for all the promoted teams to stay up (even the Jacks). It's what gives the rest of us hope. The promoted teams that stay up usually have a good start to the campaign which takes the pressure off. Your boys desperately need a win. Taking points off the top teams is a bonus, but beating the teams at the bottom is what keeps you up.

It's like the old joke where two blokes are being followed by a lion. One guy takes his shoes off. The other guy asks why he's doing it. The first guy says it's so he can run faster. The second guy says he'll never out run a lion. The first guy says 'I don't need to outrun the lion, I've just got to outrun you'.

Think you'll find that many of the relegated sides did too. Blackpool and Burnley in recent times were doing brilliantly up until Christmas but couldn't sustain it. As long as we're 17th or above come May I'll be happy.

fail to score against wba then we do have problems. to say its a marathon and not a sprint is making excuses as you need every point possible in the premiership, if we keep going as we are we will be lucky to get 15 - 20 points all season..that is the reality of the situation...
 
tbh i never thought a point was going to be gained at man c manu arsenal or chelski away and 2 of 4 are already proven, i really thought wigan and sunderland were 3 pt games but not to be, wba has to be a 3 pointer to build some sort of momentum to then beat sides like everton, newcastle, stoke etc etc
 
I take your point about Blackpool and Burnley HTR, however I can't think of (m)any teams that got off to a bad start that survived.

Get off to a good start and you may survive, get off to a bad start and you won't.

Swansea are the third side in Premier League history to fail to score a goal in any of their opening four matches of a season. The other two (Newcastle in 2005/06 and Sheff Wed in 1993/94) both finished in seventh.

or you could just go all season without scoring...
tbh a 0-0 scoreline would be the best result this weekend...
 
predicting a depleted swans to turn it around and show the grit and determination that they did at Rorkes drift (they were all Swans fans you know except the RSM but he fell asleep) and flog the baggies
 
Amazing stat that Scottswan. Never mind 7th, I'm sure you guys would be happy with 17th! Big game for you this weekend. As I said somewhere else, taking points off teams that will be around you at the end of the season is as important as nicking the odd point against 'the big boys'. I hope all this transfer kerfuffle doesn't affect the squad. It's something you could do without.

His first ever goal, isn't it? Just kidding. But 103 appearances with zero return doesn't bode well. If Dobbie plays from the start we have a chance. Just my view.

He's infinitely worse than that. At least there are medical cures for "irritating rashes",but the reptilian jh seems to have developed a very effective immune system,particularly on this Board.
