Fair enough RWB, I'm definitely stating none of this sci-fi stuff will be coming into the game in the next decade.

I honestly don't think fans want to pay huge amounts of money to see robots take to the field, maybe in a hundred years' time, even then I doubt it.

All sorts of technology will be available to football in the next ten years. All sorts of technology is already available, but the game's authorities are rightly taking a very slow approach to the world's greatest game. For many like me the only game in town, or certainly the only game worth devoting a huge amount of your life to.

Video replays have been available for twenty years or more, but they are still rightly resisted. All this robotic/chip- centred stuff, it ain't happening for a long time, and call me old school, which I am, but hopefully not in my lifetime at all.
