Hey! We have one of the best goalkeeper's in the world on our books and until he leaves we don't need another.

The tussle of the heavyweights, Real Madrid and United in a stand off. Madrid spitting their dummy out because adidas acknowledged us as the more attractive investment. We wipe the floor with them financially now, we'll ruin De Gea this season out of spite to Madrid, the kid won't kick a ball all season and he'll train with kids.

United rule the roost now, RM better get used to that fact.

BTW I agree he should train with the kids, the sooner player stop running their contracts down and forcing moves to other clubs the better.

Which clubs are still light of 2/3 of the required targets then? I see the rest of the league with the majority of their targets in place and perhaps looking for that one last keynote signing.

We are still a minimum of 3 major game changing players away. Given our perilous position over the last 3 seasons you'd have thought we'd have been a little more efficient.

The point I am making and have done for weeks is I think Short isn't providing the money and we are pursuing cheap rubbish options yet again. This can be evidenced by the acquisition of Mathews, Kaboul and Coates who are cheap and below requirements.

You are continually happy to accept mediocrity and attempt to dress it up as adequate and accept our annual struggle with glee.

I'm tired of seeing us the butt of jokes in the national media and watching this great club struggle. Listening to the media pundits rubbish this magnificent club and dismiss us as Useless and irrelevant cuts me to the quick. We have a bloody good manager who gave the club a blueprint back in May. It's now mid August and that blueprint is nowhere near complete, we've played and badly lost our opening game and pressure is already building. I witnessed a totally shell shocked manager, red eyed and trembling make a good fist of trying to explain that appalling display but I don't see him making it all season. We are once again pissing about in this league and in danger of pissing off a top class bloke as we go.

You may accept this but many, me especially, don't and we are entitled to voice our concerns and opinions. This is a football forum not just for nice comments only. It's an open forum for opposing opinions. Yours as welcome as mine.

We have Romero, but more importantly a good kid called Sam Johnstone, we have to find a way to keep our developing players coming through and into the first team. It's what we are all about, despite my tongue in cheek money rant in my previous post

Generally, it is upsetting enough that by and large and after all of these years we have a poor squad of players. But whats worse is the fact that they perform absolutely terribly as well! Even though they are crap, their performances are even worse. Double Whammy!

Yes, we need another 2 or 3 solid players in. However, more important is the cultural issue we so clearly have. Something is septic in the dressing room and organisation generally. I can only hope Dick can fix it - perhaps the whole 'competition for places' thing is part of his strategy here? If he can't, then relegation and a complete rebuild may be the only answer. But I'll wait until March before I get serious with the those kind of thoughts! If we knock Norwich off their perch this weekend we'll all be singing.
