    I'm with Chief when it comes to The Smiths, they are a hugely influential band that inspired many of the more famous bands of the last 20 or more years. They remain quite unique despite many trying to copy their sound.

    He's a brilliant guitarist, the sound he creates is iconic. You can understand why he has a cult following, on my bucket list to see. I saw The Smiths way back in the 80's..

    Only thing I know about the Smiths/Morrisey is a book I read when I was 12/13 about some fat loser who wrote loads of letters to Morrisey, was actually quite funny then.

    <laugh>

    I'm sure there are some people who are into him. Glastonbury used to be cutting edge, and always had headliners who were at the absolute top of their game. These days it seems to have gone a bit gimmicky, re-hashing of all the old washed up acts.

    It’s far too political nowadays. It’s a pathetic excuse of a festival.

    I haven't been since the late 90's. Remember seeing the Ozric Tentacles there absolutely out of my tree on acid and dancing with some topless hippy chicks all painted up with UV paint. Good times :tongue:
