No it's the Quakerhouse mate. Complete "no backing" gig - me on acoustic and him doing his thing with the electric! I'll get you a couple of beers if you can make it :)

The Quakerhouse? Wow! Have you been? One of the busiest and smallest venues in town. You'll have more room if it's upstairs but it's still small up there. Narrow rooms, very intimate. Can't swing a cat in there. I may come down fella. Depends where my head is at not good with tight crowds at the moment so I don't know.

Thing is downstairs, the bar makes up most of the room, you only have a couple of m2 in front of you before you hit the end of the bar, then the bar runs down the venue with only a meter wide corridor for people to queue for the bar and watch the music. Very very intimate and tight. Jack will be there(one in the middle on the top picture) probably doing the warm up, give him my best if I can't make it. If there's a keyboard about make him do Johnny B. Goode. <ok>:)

First time there fella! I can't wait really. I had just about enough of the solo stuff. If you make it, make yourself known. I know that we've met, but I'm ****ing useless!!!! I'll get jack playing Johnny b Goode with us as we play it anyway!!!

Start gigging in Darlington this Sunday. Can’t wait
He seems talented but not my type of music. A bit too twiddley.

I'll see if he's there and if he is I'll tell him to make sure he's got his keyboard.

How many of his videos have you watched? There are loads more strings to his bow. What exactly is "your type of music"? Fleetwood Mac? Hendrix? Beatles? Snow Patrol? AC/DC? Bon Jovi? We do songs by all of them - even a bit of a Phil Collins number!!

Just the link you put up mate. Blues rock is my preference.

I am booked up to see TheThe in June at the Royal Albert Hall.

Paid a bit, but one of my all-time favourite bands.

That’s all I have booked so far... got to ****ing migrate first.

Was he really a legend?

Talking about this down the local and most had never heard of him.

Seems like he's a cool guy amongst a certain circle but the rest of us don't know who he was.

A legend to some I guess, an eclectic legend if you will. But a very big influence on the Manc music scene of the 80s, of which I was a big fan (.. and hence moved to Manchester to go to Uni)
