Giaccherini

Better have him back then

He might want to leave. Time will tell. Sam hasn't actually had any time to assess him directly either. But he's 31 now, only a year left to run. Cashing in this window could be in the clubs best interests. I'd like to see him get another season but can see why we'd sell him this window.

He definitely wants out but then again if we play him in a position he likes and it's going well, he's a pro and he'll get stuck into it.

The only memorable game where he produced the goods was at ManC where he was able to play Italian counter-attack style and laid two goals on.

I didn't watch the match tonight, but heard nothing but great reviews about his performance.

I'd love to see him given another chance, would be like a new signing. (Would also mean I don't have to think of a new username).

Looks as if Lens will be on his way so why not let Giacc take his place?

Not sure he's too keen on Lens place as an unused substitute mate, ha

In my opinion, there's no way he'll be here come September, sadly. It's for the best, too. Shame things didn't work out for him here as i think he's a cracking footballer but for a number of reasons they just didn't. That ship has sailed.

Fact is he's an injury prone 31 year old, with 1 year left on his contract, who is desparate to leave. It doesn't really matter how good he is, if we can get £2m for him we will take it and run imo. We'd be mad not to.

We could make our money back if he carries on playing like he did tonight.

Sadly we should cash in if we can, but 2m is yet another give away, what a shambles pre-Sam transfer dealings have been.

Absolutely this!! He ticks the boxes as far as I'm concerned football wise - only downside is sell on value! But, then again - how many full, first choice Italy internationals could we say can't get into our first team in the past? :)

gonna get a cracking player. To think he will be cheaper to buy than rodwell. Madness.[/QUOTE]
It might be better keeping him for 12 months than taking 2m im not sure what I would do on this one.

I would like a defender or two from the Azure ones, their defence last night was in sharp contrast to the Greens seen earlier in the day. <laugh>
