You appear to have beaten us to the punch Munky! Don't worry, the moderators have been aware of this situation for a while, and were simply discussing the best way to broach the issue. I expect it would have come out from us by the end of the week anyway. 'Carla' has received a PM from myself on behalf of the 3 moderators, and subsequent actions should be taken shortly. If an apology (not from you Munky, don't worry) is forthcoming, this thread would be the best place to put it, as there's no need for another thread.
Sorry for letting the situation rumble on until it got to this point, and hopefully it should be resolved shortly.
And actually Munky, I'm pretty impressed with how you've done this, seeing as we've got access to far more information than you do! If you can be bothered, I'd appreciate a PM of how, because I've got a suspicion of something similar on the F1 board that I can't yet prove, so another way of going about things would be helpful.

I agree, to be honest I actually don't take a huge amount of pleasure out of all this as whoever is behind wonky/carla clearly has some issues going on and my intention is not to tip them over the edge so I do apologise if I have been mean and caused upset. I'm not a bully and do feel a bit like one at the moment, but I'm afraid it got to the stage where enough was enough, and as everyone apparently believed Carla actually was a girl I figured it a bit weird to have kept it going so long.
I am aware that the mods were in the know as I raised my concerns a few weeks back to Dave and Maestro, and they assured me that they were monitoring the situation which was entirely the right thing to have done,but I seriously cannot believe nobody else had any suspicion at all - it was screamingly obvious to me!!
I twigged that isn't wasn't a girl straight away, "she" randomly mentioned Wonky once in a thread for no apparent reason (if "she" was such a newbie she wouldn't have heard of him as he'd "quit" before "she" came along) then having Cambridge as location got me putting two and two together and then I just looked out for the style of content, which has been incredibly similar to that of Wonky - pedantic, over the top, juvenile, incessant (whinging on and on about the 1950's comments on O/T threads for example), boring, offering nothing in way of interesting debate and all over pretty much every thread!!
I've been subtly fishing for a few weeks, replying to him using the incorrect form of "lesser" as often as I can (as spotted by Dave) but I somehow didn't manage to get a single bite, and again none of you noticed! I was going to wait until he revealed himself in some kind of "ta-da! it was me all along!" article but it looks like I beat him to it.
Like I said I've always had a hunch for this kind of thing, I can generally spot a WUM a mile off on both here and the old 606, no technology involved and it's no particular skill that I have - though I guess the nature of who I work for should maybe qualify me more than most.
I don't think this person is a WUM, more a slightly unhinged individual who almost certainly doesn't mean anyone any harm, but should probably step away from internet forums for a while. I certainly don't expect, or wish for any kind of apology as at the end of the day it really is no biggie, though lying about being a girl might be a bit too much for some people, I don't know. Just hope the fella is ok, and I genuinely do as he doesn't come across as being a particularly stable chap and my intention was never to be mean
