Getting Nervous?

We have a lot of soft fans here.. No one chase the buzz? No one else thrive off the excitement? Anyone else just enjoy the game itself a lot more when it means everything instead of nothing?

Does everyone just want the comfort and security? Rather be sat at home in front of the fire, dressing gown and slippers on, cigar in hand, watching the golf, or be at the casino sticking it all on red?

What's the difference between celebrating on Friday night or Saturday at 5pm? I really dont see it. It's interesting with your avatar that you literally couldnt be further away from Pilkington if you tried.

Yes Im going to Oakwell, just like I was in the lowest ever crowd City have ever recorded for a competitive game if you want to play that game.

3 nights in a row now, nightmares about Watford winning and us fecking it up against Barnsley!!!!! Fair to say that i'm definitely getting nervous now!!!!

I'm not nervous. I really want Watford to win on Friday night so it makes Saturday even more interesting.

I can't help think it might be a slight anti-climax to gain promotion on Friday night before the Barnsley game.

I want to go on Saturday needing to get the 3 points to win promotion and see us do it in style.

I'd rather have the anti-climax thank you! Be carefull what you wish for!

Over 46 games the best 2 teams go up - why the **** would anyone not want Leicester to win?? The main reasons I can see people saying on this thread for not wanting to win is because the atmosphere at the match wouldn't be the same or we didn't do it on merit. Well we will have done it on merit and as for the atmosphere at the ground - I think it will be fine if we're already up.

100% agreed ^^^ this. If Lesta do the bizz on friday night then it will be a Much Better Atmopshere @ Barnsley. Lots of relaxed fans singing along. The Lads will be relaxed and able to play the football they have been doing for most of the season. Then i expect Barnsley to be put to the sword. Barnsley have to win come what may. If they lose we could SEAL there doom - subject to other results. Wolves could also be relegated on saturday. <whistle>

How the feck did we lose to Wolves FFS. ? <grr> <grr> <grr>

I totally agree. If we blow this I will look forward to hearing how all those who wished to 'celebrate on the day at Oakwell' feel afterwards.

I really cant see us winning on Saturday.....

Who's us? This is a hull city forum.

And if we can't beat Barnsley, we've blown it anyway, if Watford lose they've just blown it too. I couldn't give a **** if we go up or not, I'll still be there next season, in the championship there's an extra 8 weekends to escape from her indoors, promotion would be nice but its not the be all and end all.

I think it will be tough on Saturday but we can easily win if we really try, that's why we're second and they're second bottom.

Why can't you just acknowledge not everyone can go get ****faced round hull on a Friday and would rather have a genuine moment to enjoy ourselves?

And to be quite honest, after the last 2 games, if we can't beat Barnsley to do it for ourselves then we don't deserve second place and I'd happily pass it over to someone worthy of the accolade.

Murdoch league is over rated and I don't need us to get there in order to have bragging rights with my kinsmen and mates over in Italy.

Will you still be saying this if Watford win their last 2 and we lose our last 2?

Erm, none of it would be applicable or even make any sense so, no?

I cannot believe if we went up on Friday then some fans on here would be disappointed, i would travel to Barnsley on Saturday Flags hanging out of the car showing everyone on the M62 i am travelling to see a Premier league club, no way would it seem like an end of season game, a few pints before the game and two hours of party time staying at the end to cheer premier league players and with fellow supporters from a city that as a premier league football team, come on Leicester

Nor can I, because nobody said it. I just think the ideal Leicester result would be a draw so we can finish it ourselves.

Yes lots. In Juventus and ac Milan mostly.

Interesting feedback guys.

In your shoes I would want promotion as soon as I could get it - So I would want Leicester to win. If it is really important to you to be there when Hull get promoted go to see the Leicester Watford game - you would be the most committed "neutral" ever :) And who knows you COULD come third and Leicester get 6th so you would play them in the play offs.

In an ideal world it is always best to gain promotion on home turf - but surely there are not many of you hoping we are 3 or less points behind you when you have to face Cardiff. Worst case scenarion for you is we beat Leicester and you lose to Barnsley - that would mean Watford could even get promoted with a draw if you lost to them.

It isn't going to happen. You will get automatic promotion - and my bet is this weekend. If you do again good luck it will have been well deserved. ( I still hope not though) :)

I was thinking that last week and for that reason I was a bit annoyed that we lost to Wolves meaning we couldn't seal it against Bristol (and wouldn't have done anyway as it turned out). But after some of our fans booed at full time and the massive game Barnsley has turned out to be, I think it'll be just as good to do it there without all the "FORWARD!" brigade from the KC.

Come on now - admit it - you are a little nervous now aren't you? Excited yes and all the rest but at least a teensy weensy bit nervous.

We have done all we can do to make it tough for you so now it is back in your hands. You must do what we have failed to do in hte last month - we lost at Barnsley and drew at home to Cardiff. If you win either of these you go up - and deservedly so. you will appreciate I cannot wish you luck for today but after the 46 games I hope the best team wins - fair?

After that I do wish you luck - either in the Prem if you get the auto spot or in the play offs if we do

Yeh of course theres a few nerves but thankfully its in our hands. Whoever goes up will deserve it, Watford have done really well to turn around poor form with back to back wins and put as much pressure on us as possible. I really don't think it matters who we are playing, the league is so unpredictable i wouldn't bet against us beating Cardiff and you losing to Leeds, hopefully those games are irrelevant.
