I’d take him as manager over Jurassic any day. Goes out to win game, gets the very best from his players and doesn’t make stupid excuses about sloping pitches when they fail to win games. I reckon we would win the league with him in charge.

He'd probably be an improvement on Parky but it's not hard. I don't get all the adulation for Barton, he didn't take them up last season and probably won't this one either. If he was that good he'd be doing better than he is.

There's a reason Barton hasn't graduated from a club with a five thousand capacity, he's not succeeded with what he's got available although I will concede he's probably punching above his weight (no pun intended).
Oor lass could probably do a better job than PP, and I said after the Gillingham game that I thought he'd lost the dressing room and these fall out rumours keep appearing.
But back to the OP, no I wouldn't want Barton here both I don't think he's good enough and I don't like his personality although in fairness he does have one and our manager doesn't.

He's currently awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting another manager which will be held next year. He's served time for assault before, so if found guilty he could well be serving more time in clink. That alone should put any club off appointing him.
Barton's got a slightly better win percentage than Parky's had in his time at SAFC. So he's got that going for him I suppose but I wouldn't really want either of them as manager.
Maybe some people are impressed by him because he's a horrible little ****. This is something that I've noticed from spending too much time knocking around non-league football- if you're an angry, shouty, sweary arsehole there are a significant proportion of people who think that makes you a better manager than someone who is calm and considered and thinks about what they're doing.

Imagine somebody constantly slagging you off and then you go begging them to be your manager 
I along with others want Jurassic out... but noway do I want to sink as low as that cnut Barton.....
That is brilliant. H'way the fish there. As for Barton being our manager, I'd rather have the fish.
