How that goal stood still baffles me.

Cracking atmosphere that day, we should have been 3-0 up by half time.
About 7 mins of injury time at the end of the 90 minutes was pure torture!!

Thing is. Very few on here knew the rule before that incident. Was great. FWIW I’d have had him here. Hate what he did to us but we could go with a player like him at this moment

Bent was always going to be one who would end his career early.

The reason why Harry let him go from Spurs was because he missed too many chances.
Remember his 'my missus could have scored that' tirade?

He continued to miss too many while he was here as well, but we forgave him that because at the same time he managed to get into the right place at the right time far more often than other strikers, so he scored more than most.

However, this was something that he was bound to lose, to some degree, as he got older.

No doubt he will, at some point, look back and wonder what might have been had he stayed here, but that's his problem.

For now his career is on the slide, unless young Clough can put him right.

Yeh, but he’s been finished for years.
He can’t all of a sudden become ok again, can he.
