I kid you not - Facebook this morning there's a video of the Mags last game and the post match shenanigans. One of my friends says "Rafa wants to stay but it's not about the money, he wants youth development etc. etc" Of course it's not about the money!! Delusion is rife!

This is actually a lot to do with the reception he's received as well - at his last few jobs (Real Madrid, Chelsea, Inter Milan), he's got a tonne of money, but had an extremely hostile reception from the fans. He can get money anywhere, appreciation from the fans is the key thing making him want to stay.

Who knows what he wants (outside of the Newcastle boardroom) although to say money isn't a factor in any job would be crazy.

He feels the love, which is a big thing, however if he doesn't feel the ambition is there, he definitely won't stay. For what it is worth, I can't see him staying. We have incompetent morons running our club and he deserves far better than us!

It's ambition he's looking for, mate. I do think though, that Mike Ashley will at least promise him what it takes to keep him and you'll have him managing you next season. If appreciation from the fans was 'key', he would have already signed a new contract.

Are we talking Johnson here? He admitted two of the charges so it's impossible for him to get off scot free. He might get a slight reduction in his sentence, that's all.

Ah right, I didn't know why he was going to be wearing a Sunderland kit, I just vaguely remembered he had too. When he was talking about retrials, I thought he meant on here! <doh>
 
Am getting a bit pissed off with this thread.

I mean, there hasn't been anything taking the piss out of the Mags for at least a couple of hours!

Am I going senile? Since the Mags went, like RAW I've had "Downtown" going through my head, and I was convinced the last time Welder had done a version on YouTube which ended with "Doncaster's waiting for you". Can't find it anywhere though!
