Overall it's probably benefitted Newcastle this week (as we only just scraped past Bournemouth at the weekend and he'd have been playing for them then whereas him playing for City here probably isn't affecting the outcome of the tie) but the move away from cup-tying players is only generally for the benefit of larger clubs (which is more than likely going to benefit us overall) and I don't like it.
And yeah, it was guaranteed he'd score after I complained about it last week.

Thing is home fans will naturally cheer it, but unless supporters start sticking together we are going to get more of this ****. It needs to be called out for what it is absolute bollocks.
He's very good, he's also benefitting from the fact that our 3 right-backs are all out injured (Trippier, Livramento and Kraft) and he's up against a 19 year old central midfielder on the wing there but even so he's going to do well!
They need to bin it but should we by some miracle make it to the fifth round of the cup or one day go back up I’m taking every bit of VAR nonsense that falls our way gladly.
