Tbph mate I've not given the World Cup 2026 much thought - I don't like all this pissing about with it, so I've just blanked it out and take it as it comes, seems an easier way of dealing with football organisational madness sometimes.

When I think back to 1974 when Haiti and Zaire were in it, it was just all so simplistic, it's like the European Cup now Champions League with all it's stupid qualification league format, that is just total nonsense.

Although I do like the underdogs in the world cup, because one of them will put on a show of some description that makes it memorable for decades to come.

Nah it's bollocks, means there's much less jeopardy.

There'll be 72 games just to eliminate 16/48 teams. Absolute nonsense.
