Tbh it's hard to have sympathy as
1. They knew the rules and screwed up
and more importantly
2. Multi club ownership is wrong and should be outlawed

I agree with 1.
Multi club ownership is a bit more complex.
For shenanigans to happen (ie team throwing games etc to bring out the outcome that benefits the owners monetarily) there would need to be a vast conspiracy whereby EVERYONE is complicit, managers, players, refs, VAR its just a little dumb to think that this would happen or that anyone would get away with it in this day and age. Obviously running two clubs should be a no no, like outright owning and managing two clubs, but people are invested in all kinds of ****.
Newcastles owners are also members of the consortium who own Chelsea, Clearlake.......
I dont work for, or speak for, Chelsea mate. I only support them. The same organisation that allows clubs to buy their already owned assets to circumvent PSR/FFP has a very wobbly moral highground platform ...
.... and 'blind trusts' are complete smoke and mirrors bollocks...

It ain't about match fixing but if Spurs' owners also had interests in a French club there is a way to artificially boost sales by selling unwanted or inexperienced players at higher prices to them and if they come good buy them back at much lower than market rates. To me that's a farce and goes against the spirit of sporting fairness.I agree with 1.

This is Bod's view, not that of Chelsea's. If I had to guess I doubt Chelsea would give a ****, our owners are suss as **** and seem to have everything covered...shady as ****
That aside, I think too big a deal is made of this multi club crap.....While I dont think it beyond a suit to try alter sporting results to benefit his bank account, it would be a behemoth of a task in modern football to pull off such a feat and would require the complicity of hundreds of people.....it just wouldnt work.
You think that doesnt happen anyway? Especially amongst the yank owners, they are all in bed with each other.t ain't about match fixing but if Spurs' owners also had interests in a French club there is a way to artificially boost sales by selling unwanted or inexperienced players at higher prices to them

Look at how cosy Chelsea and Arsenal have gotten since they have both been controlled by Americans

apart from the fact UEFA didn't allow that and so didn't treat it as income for PSR purposesThe same organisation that allows clubs to buy their already owned assets to circumvent PSR/FFP has a very wobbly moral highground platform ...

Don't city owners also own girona?
Weren't they both in a cl at the same time?
And what about the red bull teams too
I agree totally.No idea
No idea
No idea
But I still don't think owners should have interest in other clubs
