I enjoy watching it, if it is two reasonably decent women teams. I find it can be entertaining when not compared to male football. One of the things I do like is there is way less cheating and far less time spent trying to fool the ref.
Without a doubt the penalties tonight were comical, and for the first time in the competition I saw several elbows going in from the Swedes, but when you are that small up against some of our stronger women, that's all you have to protect yourself.
I probably got to fancy Spain to win it now. I will watch the Spanish tomorrow in the hope that the Swiss can pull off a shock, but once Spain go two up, I will probably give up.
I do think womens football has a long way to go still, as there are a few dominant teams and more than a few absolutely **** ones, but you only improve that by getting more girls involved, but it's not going to help when Dad takes the piss out of womens football, although I suppose it could make them more determined.
