hasn’t he been at Brentford for about 4-5 seasons now?

this being the first he has broke double figures. (Sure it was on Radio stating that)

is this a breakout season or a one off.
He's been very good for the last 3 seasons and has improved each year. He doesn't really play as a winger he's more an attacking midfielder inverted right side. I'd have him at Liverpool he's good enough for top end teams.

I guess for Ratcliffe it’s a money saving exercise, he isn’t going to be using loads of shampoo after training/games.

He was playing second fiddle to Ivan Toney for quite a while... but has certainly grabbed his opportunity since Toney has been out / moved on ...

He an excellent striker and, IMHO, he'll be really good at United with the service he'll get there ...

Can United still be held in that bracket still though?
We might need to recalibrate our opinions on the club. I mean have Real Madrid ever finished 15th in La Liga? or gone 12 years without a title?

Yes - absolutely...

... and given that Real only really have to compete against 2, maybe 3, teams each season domestically... you can't really compare ...

I’m sure they’d have had a look and maybe put off by wages/fee. Also maybe he feels more certain of being first choice. At Arsenal he’s competing with Saka, at Chelsea **** knows, Newcastle he maybe sees as beneath him. Doubt Brentford are desperate to sell and he’s probably loyal enough to not be kicking off for a particular move.

Or there is the small matter of United being massive even if they’re a car crash now and for the foreseeable future. Still think money is the main draw for 97% of players over Champions’ League, location or anything else.

Last sentence is spot on ... and one that fans are most in denial about.

Good job we are sending Leicester, Southampton and Ipswich back to the Championship then, wouldn't want Spanish fans thinking the same way.

There were only two Spanish teams that equalled or lost more than the 22 games that Spurs lost 2024/25

The only decent and consistent team last season in the Prem were Liverpool. It was a god damn awful league and Arsenal have become akin to
the Rangers from Scottish football.

Billions are spent to bring us the Premiership, just to serve us dross. So I'm not sure what league you were watching last season Fosse, but did your lot even turn up for games with 25 loses, I suppose at least your fans were entertained conceding 80 goals.

Can’t really be arsed with foreign football but the Spanish league was quite tight. 20 points between relegation and sixth. No idea if the relegation fight was all that but lots of teams finished close to the bottom three and only one dud team finishing last.

Castellon in the second tier are my team.

If it weren't for SKY showing lower league football now and will show more Prem games next season, I would seriously have considered giving it up and switching to TNT, where at least we get the European games. I might see what deals Viaplay (or whatever they are called now) are doing on Italian football next season - but hopefully with the inclusion of Leeds and Sunderland the Prem might be more entertaining.

I also think next season might be a little more competitive.
Liverpool look hungry and have made some good signings already, if Arsenal get a striker they will be up there, Man City almost certainly wont be as **** as they were last season and who knows, maybe with an astute signing or two, even Chelsea might be able to throw their hat into the ring as a contender (though I am not expecting us at all to win). Maybe even Newcastle if they can kick on and improve too.
Hopefully a 4-5 way fight at the top next season.
