Funny part is I was just about to say get him ****ing off...and he goes and does that lol. I thought the kid was going to upstage him.
I didn't think Potugal were going to be able to unlock the Germans tonight, but now they don't like it that they are on the end of a bad result for them. I don't want the Germans to come back into it now, because I want to see this kid in the final.
I thought up for an hour, Germans were going to win, that last half hour changed everything and Germany were lucky in the end it was only a 2-1 defeat.
Germans are just a bit of a machine when defending, but once unlocked fell apart. That last half hour was worth the £2.49
Why arent more clubs coming in for Mbeumo? I am a little puzzled! Only Man United seem interested in him, yet he is 25, scored 20 goals last season, and would probably be very obtainable for anyone in the top 5. I'd have him at Chelsea yet we seem to have shown no interest, nor has Arsenal, Newcastle seemed to sniff around him for a bit, then quickly backed off. Do these clubs all know something we dont? Just wondering why he would pick Man United if there were other options. Not to be disrespectful, but United dont exactly look like an enticing prospect right now. Other than the fact that he will get a pay bump, why go there? When he could also get the pay bump and play in Europe with other teams?
I’m sure they’d have had a look and maybe put off by wages/fee. Also maybe he feels more certain of being first choice. At Arsenal he’s competing with Saka, at Chelsea **** knows, Newcastle he maybe sees as beneath him. Doubt Brentford are desperate to sell and he’s probably loyal enough to not be kicking off for a particular move. Or there is the small matter of United being massive even if they’re a car crash now and for the foreseeable future. Still think money is the main draw for 97% of players over Champions’ League, location or anything else.
Indeed but isnt part of the reason United are in this mess because they keep signing "meh" players on astronomically high wages, then find it impossible to move them on when they dont work out. Not sure more of the same is what they need, though I guess Mbeumo doesnt give a ****.
hasn’t he been at Brentford for about 4-5 seasons now? this being the first he has broke double figures. (Sure it was on Radio stating that) is this a breakout season or a one off.
... it's Manchester United ... kids around the world kicking whatever ball they can find in school yards or on streets dream about playing for Manchester United or Real Madrid ... even non sports / non football fans have heard of them ... Playing in Europe for other teams - is just that ... why do that when you could be playing in Europe with Manchester United in the future?... ... not to me, I'd hasten to add ... I'd have rather played for Leicester City ... in any league ...
Can United still be held in that bracket still though? We might need to recalibrate our opinions on the club. I mean have Real Madrid ever finished 15th in La Liga? or gone 12 years without a title?
Think he’s better than that but suits the way Amorim supposedly likes to play. Cunha I think is a terrible fit which probably means he’ll win the Ballon D’Or and Mbuemo will be back at Brentford on loan in two years. Such a step up from being the biggest fish in a small pond. Hopefully ends in tears
