I think there's genuine interest from someone at the club. I mean, he's cheap had years of PL experience and has a great attitude, so maybe that's what you need to build the foundations?

I'd rather we go for Wharton personally, but sounds like that would be a bit of a bun fight with others.

Casemiro needs replacing though, not sure Longstaff fits that bill!

And six years younger. Good a player as he is it’s too early for him though for the situation United are in, particularly in midfield. Lucrative for him though.

Longstaff will do a year or two somewhere like Everton, then Burnley, then Wrexham before finding his level as player-coach at Gateshead in five years.

It is pretty hilarious tbh, he's not even our first choice sub for midfield, Willock is ahead of him.
