Yep. That's the Winks we all remember well. Never quite emerged from his early career comfort zone.
How's Oli Skipp doing?
Was on the bench yesterday - came on for Winks. I like him - good technically bombs forward and is full of energy - created a great chance yesterday for McAteer with a surging run from the halfway line ...
Our biggest problem is finding the right balance in midfield... but Skipp could be part of that alongside one of the ballers ... Buenanotte / El Khannouss ...
Tbh lots of us were very surprised when you took both of them off us as they have similar profiles and skill sets.
Skipp definitely has the higher ceiling but constant niggling injuries seem to be holding him back. Most of us were sad to see him leave, less so Winks who had more than outstayed his welcome.

I've no love for Chelsea but there was no protection of their players this weekend Leicester were putting in some disgraceful challenges that could badly injure people. Refs can't be allowing that. 2 straight reds in that game.

The Ndidi one has to be a red and somehow they’ve looked at it from their variety of angles and decided not probably because there’s an effort to not overrule the referee when it’s subjective though they then make it up as they go along in applying that.
But it’s Chelsea so break their ****ing legs preferably.
The second one was just as bad he was clearly pissed off at being tackled fairly and just went to nail him. Like you say it's Chelsea but still.

She's played in the premier league though, so definitely should be there to share her insightful thoughts.
Just no protection for players at any level. We had a Watford lad on loan last season, teams couldn't handle him so they butchered him, ref's did nothing, can't remember who was the last club he played against, but three straight tackles in on him from one run, final one taking him out for the whole season and sending him back to his home club.
He was too good for our level, hence why people started chopping him, it was the only way they could stop him. Would loved to have had him back, and I don't often speak highly of players ar our level.
Yeah defo his speed and dribbling, I was a bit disappointed with our lads for not protecting him more, I know some of the old teams from the past would have done.
