I have always hated VAR and rightly predicted it wouldn't solve a thing, but you seem to want to conveniently forget why VAR was introduced in the first place. A bit like why FFP was introduced, was that football clubs couldn't be trusted to self govern themselves on and off the pitch.

I couldn’t listen to her, she sounded like a robot. And if the Tech is now making the decisions, rather than being used as a tool to help officials make decisions, we’re even more ****ed than I thought.

That’s basically it. I’d bin the tech other than the goal line but that ain’t happening. That ****ing snickometer leaves no room for nuance and the way the rule is written now is totally open to interpretation but basically they’re now saying any touch on the arm anywhere in the box unless the arm is right by your side is a penalty which is insane. You can’t be trying to block a cross on the run and not have your arms out to some extent.


DM me to join my campaign to make these incidents indirect free kicks. A penalty is far too big a reward/punishment. Same for a lot of fouls.

Pretty sure if they don’t ref top level games then they don’t pick out the same pay packet.

The officials are crap but the laws of the game are the main issue as the right decision by the law still doesn’t make sense.

The snickometer can get in the bin too.

The indirect free kick in the box idea might have legs. Probably the laws are already there, but refs don’t use them? Not sure…

Can't wait for it tbh, tired of seeing **** refs with human frailties, Is that a foul? Well, the AI will be able to judge far better than a human ref, closing speed, angle of attack, estimated contact speed, motion of the falling body. far more relevant than the way it seems to be judged at the moment, how big the team is, how loud the scream emitted and how spectacular the roll.
