We'll make it a lot more difficult for ourselves than Leeds did. Got a horrible feeling about extra time.
I think ultimately, whoever wins tonight will lose to Leeds in the final anyhow, but you never know.

Being reported that despite qualifying for the Champions League, Villa will need to sell at least one big player to comply with FSP rules ... how ****ing absurd... but as I've said before ... lot of thought gone into keeping the very big boys at the top ...

Leeds have been dodgy lately though.
They had a lot of injuries toward the end the season.
Now they had a couple weeks to rest, and some players have come back, they didnt look too dodgy last night, spanking Norwich 4-0.

Other than QPR, our 2 next worst performances have both been against Southampton, not taking owt away from them, as it could just be a case of Martin doing a number on Farke, they totally outplayed us both games. West Brom took 4 points from us but were lucky both games. For that reason, I'd want West Brom in the final, we have the beating of them more so than Soton

West Brom are physically robust with a couple of decent individuals ... but Saints are much more dangerous if bringing their 'A game' and getting into a rhythm... was noticeable that we went much more direct against them at home recently than we've done all season and it seemed to unsettle them ... in particular, really put pressure on their full backs ... Fatawu gave Kyle Walker Jnr a right roasting ...

Watched that game, Soton were never in it, they couldn't cope with your pace. Unfortunately both of our pacy wingers up until last night have been badly out of form since the international break, we looked very laboured against them and they cut through our midfield with ease, we had all the possession second half but did nothing with it, it was a comfortable day for them. Hopefully if we do get them, Farke has learnt a few lessons from those games.

Might not be as daft as it sounds ... they have already contacted Iheanacho's entourage about signing him on a free when his contract expires with us in June and he's said to be interested ... whilst he was one of our top earners, I doubt he's on as much as Watkins is now and, whilst he's nowhere near as good, he does score goals and the transfer fee would then be pure profit for Villa together with reduced wages outlay ... guess it depends on how good they think Duran Duran and Rogers actually are ... but he would definitelybe a giid buy for you ... just coming into his peak years...

Leicester losing players on a free. Tielmans so far, then maybe Indidi and then Iheanacho??

I think Jesus may be on his way out in the summer, so we’ll be looking to strengthen up front.

Havertz, for all of the grief people were giving him when we signed him, has been brilliant for us this season, but he’s more of a workhorse in that false 9 position.

Watkins can play as a striker or wide and would be a perfect replacement for Jesus if he goes. He wouldn’t come cheap though, probs north of £80m but if Villa need to sell to balance the books then it could be a deal they are interested in
