I’ve actually done that tonight just as a daft bet, funny things happen on the last day. I put a tenna on both games drawing and it pays £960.
It doesn’t, but we had a similar situation against West Ham where the ball went out of play right before they scored. Anyway, like I said I ain’t blaming var or making excuses. If we don’t win the league it will be those games against Fulham and West Ham where we lost that will cost us
To trully mirror your own title push in 2016 they'll have to find a way to lose a 7 point lead over 3rd in one game.
ppffft I think you picked the wrong issue there as I'm not convinced at all that the ball went out of play, without a single shot directly down the line it's impossible to know - why they don't have a camera getting that shot is an utter mystery though. Pretty sure Joelinton fouled your defender though so I don't think the goal should have stood but the whole camera angle thing on the ball going out is the wrong issue imho.
I was referring to the West Ham game mate. The ball went out of play in that one. But because the player was obscuring the ball, VAR didn’t rule it out. I agree though and have said on here before that I’d like to see the goal line tech applied to all dead ball lines
If Arsenal score early and City get to 75 mins still level or losing then it could get very interesting. I don’t think anything will top the Aguero goal but I’d love see some late drama (as long as it means City win)
Congrats... as I commented on your board before the first leg, you had too much for them and your big test is yet to come ... if it's West Brom, think you'll win it easily... Saints on the other hand ... would also make for a more enjoyable final for neutrals ...
Hope springs eternal when it's your club... but pinning your hopes on a West Ham team that has been pretty abysmal over recent games against arguably still the best club side in the world (Madrid were pretty lucky let's be honest) on their patch... in a game of this importance ... is pushing the boundaries of jinx to the extreme... Reality is that it's probably all over by half-time ... but nothing is certain in football... for sure ...
Hate to break this to you mate but the law of averages don't change just because you lost the previous 5 times. I'm going for magic number 6
You say that ... but we had to wait for 'lucky number 7' before we got anything at Wembley... 4 losing post war Cup Finals and 2 losing play-offs ... and in the 7th game there we were distinct underdogs ... Brian Little's bizarre team of centre-halfs (Steve Walsh played at Centre-forward ffs) against a very expensively assembled Derby County (they had money back then - we didn’t) ... against all the odds we won 2-1 ... me and 4 of my cousins all there ... my we got so pissed in London after ... even though we knew we'd be coming straight back down because we were ****e
It's true that Fosse, but the 7th game had nothing to do with the previous 6. Like tossing a coin 7 times, just because it's heads the previous 6 doesn't mean it's any more or less likely to be tails next. Your 7th one was really just dependent on how you performed on the day, and given Leeds are full of pussyholes I reckon they'll get fcked again
I will be rooting for the saints also. Have always thought they were a decent club, and was sad to see them go down. WBA on the other hand, like Libby said, are dull as **** and I am sick of them yo-yo ing.
We'll make it a lot more difficult for ourselves than Leeds did. Got a horrible feeling about extra time.
