About 20 years ago they spent a few million on the place, you'd have never have known.

Yeah they still think he’d get a game at City. Just been done like a kipper by Jackson. Think that puts an end to that argument.

No matter how ****e a place is, once the Stoke lot arrive, it immediately becomes worse.

Yeah I think it must have been later in the season when I went last time.

Its was busy along the seafront and looked alright with the tower, lights and trams running.

A mix of young familes having fun and football fans and locals getting drunk.

This time, good fun with different groups of fans out and about, but bloody cold with that wind, grey, dog **** on all pavements it seems, rubbish blowing in the wind everywhere, derelict land with more rubbish, houses not painted or repaired since 1975.

I guess thats what happens when an industry drastristically contracts in an area.

Pubs were decent! Can't argue with a round of 6 beers for £10.80!
