Both were poor and ineffective in the game and deserved to be subbed.

It’s lazy to solely blame Southgate.

Antony to take leave of absence until the allegations are dealt with, I think the reporter said that would be on full pay. Antony reiterates his innocence.
 
Didn't even realise we played until I checked bbc sport well after the game.

It's not even remotely lazy.

Southgate is a ****e coach, and it's him who dictates how the team plays.

The two players in question are shackled by Southgate's way of playing and so, therefore, don't play well. Neither were in the same position that they play for their club either. Why does he insist on playing players out of position?

This is the same football we've all (those who don't think Sky Sports invented football) grown up with, it's the manager who dictates the teams style* of play. If the team plays ****e, it's on him.




*philosophy in tedious new world football terms.

On paper Southgate has been a top manager just look at his record

then you remember every time you watch his England it looks like we are watching a team in shackles hoping to score from a set piece or the occasional flash of individual initiative . The real indictment is no creative style has formed after 7 years or whatever it is despite having a bunch of creative players to call on ..

I think that’s more down to the squad than Gareth’s genius

a wasted squad because the good players need better management and the club bench warmers like Kalvin need dumping
