Obviously I don't quite share your sentiments on the Forest loss <whistle> ... but they have done a bit of a Fulham fro. A few years back in terms of the numbers they have brought in and no at spent ... that comes with its own risks because you still need to play as a team ... as Brighton did yesterday ... all knew their roles and most been there for some time ...

Forrest have had to go down that route due to number of loans and players out of contract last year. According to Cooper it was always the case for this season regardless of division but they looked like the worse team to rock up at SJP since Steve Bruce was drop kicked out the club.

Observations from the first games, shame about Palace but if you go selling your best midfielder then it's going to come at an even bigger price.

Presuming you mean Gallagher? If so he was never theirs, mate. Was on loan from Chelsea.

If not Gallagher, ignore this post, lol.

Coady medical sorted and a deal for some massive Belgian midfield unit sorted.

feel a striker before Saturday and we are gonna be okay.

picking up a CB before the window shuts and other teams are hunting about is a good idea.

Mitrovic stepped up nicely considering yet another team (Fulham) sold their best player to the opposition. Shame about Forest losing, but someone had to hand the Toon a false dawn. Expected more from the hammers, but when you are up against someone befriended by Gazza, it's best just to appease them. Spurs let a goal in and their top two strikers failed to score, sitting top though, due to playing some school boy outfit from the South coast. As for the Gills we won, so fook the lot of yer.

Edit: just realised I forgot Man Utd, probably for the best though.

I’ve just read that Scully is stepping down from the Chief exec / Chairman role. Is this the beginning of the end for him?

Coady and Tarkowski two smart defensive signings.

steady is what I would call them both. Fitting Lampards preferred 3 at the back.

Coady seems a good leader and strong character whilst Tarkowski should've left Burnley years ago, think they'll both do really well once properly settled. I'd have taken Tarkowski at Spurs, we're likely gonna look at bringing in a CB to cover and compete with Dier, think he'd have been a good shout.

Hmmm, not sure what to believe with his announcement. To me it always seemed he wants someone else to come him, but for him to remain on the payroll, which seems to be happening in this scenario. Personally I've never had a problem with him, but others are not so kind and absolutely hate him and worse! Think I'm more the realist that with Scally's finances he can no longer carry the club forward, even if you take out his salary of a couple of hundred k, that's going to buy you fook all these days, I'm amazed he's even managed to keep Neil Harris on the books. I suppose the club is now like his pension, can't say I blame him after 27 years, other supporters would remind me though, that the chairman only ever put in £1. But when I see clubs like Oxford doing one million pound transfers in, I know our day is done, short of rich arab. Doubt you will find many talking about the chairman so fondly lol.

He's better than Dier.

Not sure it is his preferred 3 atb more your CB's have been so bad you have needed an extra one but with Patterson and Mykolenko it makes sense particularly if you stiffen CM .

With the Belgian enforcer coming in. That’s the plan it seems. Slow start, but looking better.
