You know a couple of years ago I thought a decent manager and a couple of good signing and Utd will back in not much time.
Now though, they just seem miles off.
Its not just the squad either.
The whole club is honking.
They badly lack management - both from the owners, the manager himself and the leaders on the pitch.

The idea that United, Arsenal or Spurs could come in the top 4 suggests we have too many CL places to be fair.

I'm talking about spending millions and millions again to revamp the squad, it's not happening.
Not sure why SKY bothered broadcasting that match tonight, so one sided, lots of lower league matches I'd much rather of preferred to see. Clearly the rest of the Prem League want to hand 4th place to Spurs, gift wrapped by recent performances of the challengers, despite Spurs attempting to give the others a chance by losing at the weekend.

They've sanctioned it and then some. Circa £250m net spend over the past 3 years with a huge increase in wage ceiling to accommodate the likes of Ronaldo and then a willingness to lose players like Pogba and Martial on free transfers.
The club has been caught in a rut of appallingly ill advised decision making for years. Money isn't the problem and never has been, how and when it's being spent is.
Latest case in point being the silly decision to award Bruno Fernandes with a new 4 year contract doubling his wages when he has had a truly awful season.
