They played in it, long before Leicester, so I guess that would be a yes
You do also realise you’re trying to take the piss out of a club which sits 9th in English clubs honours list, where do Leicester sit?

Yes weve been in the champions league 2 or 3 times and beat Barcelona and juventus.

Thanks for beating Morecambe for us yesterday mate.![]()

Its a lovely part of the world mate. No regrets at all about moving to it.@FosseFilberto
How about our annual bet? You can have daffodils ill have anything you want
Ah I've been there and it was thoroughly boring. Ice cream is essentially used as an anti depression medicine as far as I recall
Fairs cup wasn't a sanctioned tournament, qualification was through having a trade fair in the same city, rather than from any footballing success.Did it use to be the European Cup, European Cup winners Cup, and the Fairs Cup?
You also won the fairs cup which from what I read above is the trophy Leicester are trying to win this year.

None taken mate. I wouldn't say I've grown up though.I was a teenager so I was looking for young girls drinking pulse and special red at the time and there was none.
The average age was about ten thousand years old.
I'm sure it's lovely when you've grown up.. No offence meant..

lol, the fairs cups were more like pre-season friendlies, you came 9th and won nothing in order to qualify, you simply had a trade fair in the city.No I believe the fairs Cup was at the time what West ham are now trying to win
The eufa Cup replaced it... Thats my understanding anyway.
The competition was very different because you go invited, but in 50s newcastle had won the FA Cup more times than any other club.... Sadly they've won **** all since![]()

I’m one of those fans you are talking about and it’s not arrogance, I have been fortunate a to see my club in Europe.
I still wouldn’t swap it for either stability or promotion.
Yeah fair enough. From yours and Suckys exchanges, I think we’ve worked that one out
Sorry bluey, you left the door open for that![]()

As one of only 7 winners of the Premier League ... and now that we've also won the FA Cup, and both of those in my lifetime, that'll do just fine for me![]()
I think it's based on arrogance because the disdain for smaller trophies all comes from (imo) this bullshit notion that the PL is the 'bEsT lEaGuE iN wOrLd!!" and that playing in it is the be all and end all for clubs.
That's just my opinion though and we obviously differ. Either way though I still don't see why a smaller club like Leicester should be mocked for winning it (should they do so). It'd be a bit like Swansea fans being mocked for celebrating their LC win.
Personally I'd take winning the ECL over any position in the PL other than first and would be delighted to even qualify for it. Each to their own though.
