Winning breeds confidence as they say, Sunderland aren't all that atm either.

I don't think we are good enough to take on the top teams, we managed to scrape a 0-0 out of Sheffield Wednesday, and that's all we can ask, scrape for what you can get, with the way the bottom teams are playing, an odd point here and there is what will make the difference, in the last six games.

The good news for my lot is Wimbledon and Doncaster have also got tough away games at Sheff Wed and Wycombe, so my focus against Sunderland will be those other two matches slipping up, as long has none of the two get 3 points, then i'll be happy, whatever happens to us. Not forgetting Morecambe btw.

My lot still can't believe it. Tough games coming up now, so needed that 4 point gap going into them.

Always seemed a good appointment for your position (as club in general not just league) but even so he has surely surpassed expectations.

See you've still got to visit the Skates. Grab a couple of tickets and I'll meet you there <whistle>

Can't see us beating anyone in the top six, we've done the job and more, at this stage, now we just need to be thankful of the four point gap, and keep our eyes on the other games. Not a lot else we can do ourselves now, I think the crunch will come when we play Fleetwood on the Easter Monday, that will probably decide if we stay up or not. Anyone that thinks we are going to win at Sunderland, Portsmouth and home to Rotherham are off their head, it's a just wait and see now.

Yeah that Fleetwood game looks defining. I know what you're saying but you always get odd results at this stage of the season.

Don't think away to that lot is as big a write off as you think. They've been average this season at home and won't have anything to play for.

I wouldn't even turn over for the England game, until the Wimbledon result had come in. :cheesy:

It's a nightmare praying on every result, the gods have been very kind to us the last few weeks.

... seriously though ... Hazza equals 'wor Bobby's' England scoring record! <doh> ... just a couple of things conveniently glossed over ... Bobby played in midfield and in his total were 3 penalties ... Hazza has scored 13 pens and plays centre forward... absolutely no comparison to be made <laugh>
You also have to take into account the fact that Sir Bob wasn't playing 2 or 3 games every couple of months against absolute dross in "friendly's".
Records like this should only ever be gauged on competitive games in actual tournaments.

How you gonna count friendly goals ffs<laugh>

How many actual competitive goals for engerland?

Whilst I agree that the friendlies shouldn't count for much Bobby scored over 3 times as many friendly goals as Kane. 22 of his 49 were in friendlies compared to 6 of Kane's 49.

If we're talking major tournaments then Kane has 10 to Bobby's 5.

Absolutely. I'm in no way arguing that Kane is better or anything, and I agree with your point that you can't really compare the two anyway given different eras and positions.

I was just pointing out to Diego that his implication that Kane scores in friendlies while Bobby didn't get that chance was flawed and didn't hold up.
