Pens are a lottery and a **** way to lose.

Southgate comes across as a good person so I have no beef with him but his brand of football is boring.

England should have been going for Italy's throats in the first half cos they were wobbling like a punch drunk heavy weight for most of it. But after scoring on 2 minutes England didn't have another attempt on goal for the rest of the entire half.

That's on the manager for me.

If Rashford hadn't have bottled it we would have went on to win the penalties. 100% his fault.

It shouldn't have come to penalties.

We were in total control in the first half. Italy changed things up and we retreated into a shell. You could just as easily argue had we not done that we would have gone on the win in normal time.

He didn't bottle it mate, he sent the keeper for his supper and was two inches away from putting it right in the bottom corner.
**** happens, live with it.

You should go back to the fast paced football that quality teams pick off, losing to Germany on pens, nationally crucifying a scapegoat and generally being ****s other than getting to finals. It's much more entertaining for neutrals.

so typical of a United fan. I never solely blamed rashford, but he was the only player not to hit the target. He’s a striker…. His job is to hit the target. He needs some advice from Maguire

Yeah it’s a bit cringey isn’t it.
First final in 55 years and we lose it on penalties ffs.

Bottled it, keeper went early and he couldn't roll it into an open goal.
 
Dunno which Italian player it was, but it seemed particularly cruel at the end when he was faced up to the camera shouting ‘It’s coming to Rome !’
