England should have been going for Italy's throats in the first half cos they were wobbling like a punch drunk heavy weight for most of it. But after scoring on 2 minutes England didn't have another attempt on goal for the rest of the entire half.

The tactics from the 46th min let us down.
Saka and Henderson coming on instead of Grealish and Sancho let us down.
Not changing anything before extra time let us down.
The general order of penalty takers let us down.

Yes, it is easier to lay the blame for it all on a single kick in a single moment, but each game is a 90min story and for 45+mins of that we were reading the wrong script.

 

If Rashford hadn't have bottled it we would have went on to win the penalties. 100% his fault.

You should go back to the fast paced football that quality teams pick off, losing to Germany on pens, nationally crucifying a scapegoat and generally being ****s other than getting to finals. It's much more entertaining for neutrals.
