We are giving a full debut to 19 year old Sidnei Tavares tonight ... creative midfielder with an eye for goal (think I also read somewhere that he might be a cousin of Nani)... Maddison not even on the bench ... oh well... come on da yoof!!

Inevitable ... if they had made the right call when they had the opening to go 3-0 I think Bayern would then have been too rattled to come back ... oh well, guess Erland will be calling his dad saying "Where is the East Midlands, pop?" <whistle>

The rules are changing next season so that accidental handballs are not given as pens, but the rules as they stand should have flagged a VAR call for the ref to look at it and had he applied the rule it would have been given, and likely 3 points for us.

It is an evolving piece of technology, but for me at the end of the day it still comes down to subjectivity and therefore it's never going to eradicate mistakes. People can say it should only look at the clear and obvious mistakes that need addressing, but using today's example again when subjectively it chose not to even ask the ref to look at it, it's always going to be flawed.

Seems to escape them that ...
1. Burnley are ****...even we beat them...and we kept a clean sheet ffs.
2. Burnley played the 12.30 game this weekend
3. 13 other clubs also played in mid week
