Will be about luck with injuries and possibly a further signing ... but our record against the Big 6 already shows we can certainly compete.

You lot look to be in a comfortable rhythm at the minute as Brendan is getting a decent level of performance out of his players and crucially they’re playing as a team.

In comparison with us, I’d say you lot have more coherence as we seem to be too dependent on Fernandes. Pogba seems to have stepped up his game in recent weeks but nobody expects that to be long term, so hopefully VDB will get some game time in cup comps and start to find a way to offer us another option that’s not just ‘Give it to Bruno’.

We’re still some way off ‘clicking’ but if Greenwood and/or Martial start finding form like they did last January onwards, or if Diallo is as good as everybody is saying he is then we could find another gear and obliterate everything in our path. Unfortunately that comes down to Ole and I still have no faith in him at all.

Pretty much ... everyone seems to know their jobs and even the goals are getting spread around ... the new lads have quickly fitted in, which has been key ... we've had the odd rick, but that's understandable... but the confidence is high on the back of recent performances.

VDB is a cracking player and wasted on a bench ... Ole really needs to come up with his best 'team' ... been too many times where he has needed his subs to get him out of jail ... that would worry me.

Yeah he does, but unfortunately Pogba is leaving but he’s too productive at the minute to leave out. I’d imagine we’ll get a direct replacement for him and it won’t be VDB. Donny has said he wants to remain here though apparently, despite interest from Madrid and Milan, so Ole must have a plan for him.

I think VDB will eventually be shoehorned in when we find a single player to do the job that Fred and McTominay do, hopefully that’ll be this summer.
 
Just seen the Villa side to play City, 4 days ago our fixture with them was cancelled as they couldn’t put a competitive side out. Today a whole 4 days later - they’re full strength. I ****ing hate Villa.

Not really arsed about the result, I suppose a draw is the best outcome for us, but that wasn’t my point. They’ve taken the piss imo.

I know ... and agree ... and have no love for Villa, believe me ... them and us have never got on... so hoping they get something is somewhat surreal.
