My arse mate, that's Mane's elbow there. But here is the main point - what is the point of VAR if they couldn't see, as Virgil lay on the ground for 5 minutes or so (so no rush) what Pickford had done? Hey, as said, i acknowledge that in derbies some ****ing atrocities by both sides have been enacted; but the point is that there is supposed to be a retrospective system that analyses these issues dispassionately. This is bollox.

Look, I don't hate Pickford, I don't hate Richarlison, and I don't hate Oliver: don't play in a derby if you don't accept that some over-excited loon may put you out of the game for months ( both sides). But what is is abysmal is that Jordan Henderson may face more repercussions than any Everton player or VAR operative on Monday morning. Come on Tobes, that ain't right?

(Must say, btw, if you remember rightly I admire Richarlison's nasty attitude in the same vein as Mane's - arseholes of the world unite. But what grates tonight is that the whole point of VAR was supposed to be a retrospective, objective point of view. I think it's not overstating the case to sat the VAR operatives should be decapitated every much as French teachers. Perhaps, :emoticon-0108-speec).
tl:dr

Handball doesn't have the potential to end a player's career.
Every club has been on the recieving end of awful offside, handball and foul decisions and from bollocks VAR decisions.

It's bollocks but Liverpool are acting like they have been treated worse than others, particularly in relation to the tackle on VVD.

Last season Liverpool benefited at WHL .
A tackle by Robertson on Tanganga at WHL was wreckless and could have caused seriously injury yet VAR did nothing.
Liverpool scored from a throw in that should have been a Spurs throw in.

I suspect that ALL teams could point to similar poor decisions but the media, social media and Liverpool FC complaints wreak of entitlement and bitterness tbh

Let’s not forget the cowardly stamp by Robertson yesterday on Allan. To be fair, I like that kind of ****ehouse move by a player.
But no mention in media.

Spot on. It shows how little they've been affected by VAR so far really doesn't it?

Probably the first time it has cost them points and they're writing to the PL crying. Poor form.

No idea how Ritson won that. Unbelievable.
He didn’t win it mate, an absolutely outrageous decision.

The 2 judges who gave him the fight are either on the take, or they don’t understand what they’re watching.

Said it right from the start. The only thing VAR will be good for is the bantz when it ****s a rival over. Whilst that's funny, it's not good for the game.

Ultimately it's proving to be about as effective as the old system, i.e. it comes down to human judgement and will make mistakes. And in that case, I don't see any point having it replace the onfield ref given the way it ruins some games and produces some truly baffling decisions in some cases and totally ignores others.

Klopp blubbing about it though is just sour old grapes. He's no more affected by it than any other team.

Disagree with the last bit. As a manager he has every right to complain about the Pickford challenge, particularly given the impact on his player.

That challenge happens anywhere else on the pitch and by an outfield player, then irrespective of whether the play is going to be pulled back for an earlier infringement it's a nailed on red card and would have been reviewed - reckless and dangerous and no control of his bodyweight at the point of impact.

VAR is not to blame for that - it's the numpties operating it.

Pickford should have walked, that's a given.

VAR is the numpties operating it though. If it can't make the right decision even after reviewing it, then what's the point in having it ?
