Actually Orient were willing to play and could have put a team out, but given the number of infections they had in their squad PHE decreed they shouldn’t play the match and so it was called off.

Oh, didn't know that. Probably the wake up call football needed, that it affects everyone.

I only know as their chairman was on TS this morning when I was in the car.

He was ****ting a brick as the game was worth £150k to them which he said was circa 10% of what they’ll blow due to COVID, but under the rules of the comp, if you can’t put a side out then you’re disqualified.

Be interesting to see what the ruling ends up being on this one, as they’re desperate for a rearrangement and Spurs the opposite. Seems very harsh to disqualify them like.

I know I take the piss out of Spurs, but I'm sure they would be more than happy to honour the tie, if the powers that be allow it. I don't think they should be disqualified, like you say that would be harsh.

I hope so given the circumstances, but Mourinho though.....

The next round is next week, but then the QF’s aren’t until Christmas week, so I’m sure they could find a way if there’s a will to.

Us and Orient have good club relations, had many friendlies, loaned a lot of players and even right now Harry Kane sponsored their shirts this season. One or two journalists have already said we’ve offered to reimburse them the costs of what they’d have lost out on so if the tie doesn’t get rearranged I think we’ll make sure they don’t go out of pocket.

That's good mate, I did think Spurs would support them, especially both being London clubs.

So Spurs have offered a bribe to the opposition to get them to STFU then.

Outrageous.

Have Luton rebuilt a stand or is the camera on the opposite side?
New stand mate on the side the camera is on I think.

So probably both.....

EDIT: just checked and it’s swapped the camera side, they’re building a completely new ground apparently

Yeah I just had a look too. Must have some big bit of scaffolding up to get that angle as that stand is essentially just boxes iirc.

Hope covid has delayed that new ground, wanted to visit there one day.
