‘Mon you useless wilting pansy gooners, have one of your rare show-up-and-play efforts at Wembley, so we can all laugh at Tottenham <laugh>
Have for many years, mistakenly chief yid decreed a stadium was better than writing history. That mistake at that time probably Cost them two titles. Long live bulging pockets!

Pending Wigan’s appeal and the Sheff Wed situation the FL have allowed to just drag on forever making it completely unfair on all the teams down there. Would be surprised if Wigan’s appeal is successful though as it would open up all sorts of legal action from Barnsley who just happen to be the epitome of living within a club’s means.

Absolute joke that they've allowed it to drag out as long as they have. Shambles.

We've been a bit "meh" because we'd already won it. Hard to keep up the levels we'd set with nobody chasing us, the job was done.
There are people who want this to be a lesser win and I get that but there's no taking it away from us, CL then League in the last 2 seasons we've been brilliant. Can we continue and win it again? We'll be close but there's a lot of competition.

I think you're likely to win it again next season. It won't be the rest of the chasing pack that's your worry but your own mentality that might be your worst enemy. Only natural players won't keep up the same intensity but if they do....

The rest of the top 4-6 will be better and close the gap though.

Chavs need to win, as they’ve nothing left to play for.

Gooners, on the other hand, never did have anything to play for.

My money is on Chavs to win.

I never realised until this morning, that Barnsley survived the drop, until there 91st minute winner!

They survived, due to Wigan's 12 point deduction, which relegated them, along wiht Charlton and Hull.

Wigan have already said they will appeal the points deduction and the appeal is happening at the end of the month. In addition to this, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby are under investigation for selling their grounds to themselves to circumnavigate the financial fair play rules. Both of these clubs could potentially be docked 9 points, which would put Sheffield Wednesday below Charlton!
The EFL is a mess and could not organise a Christmas office party. This is not a Charlton rant as we fully deserve to be where we are. We aren’t good enough for the Championship. However, how can you go in to the last game of the season not knowing what the outcome of these disciplinary’s are. The Sheffield Wednesday one has been ongoing since November!
If Wigan’s appeal is upheld I can see Barnsley taking legal action

Good luck with that lot anyway. Been debating, politely I hasten to add, most the morning with a Gas fan, who somehow believes his club got lucky, with it's investor and how I question £24M mysteriously got wiped from their debt, during a season of a pandemic. Claims of an 'inheritance' oh and claims of owning a big sports company, when I asked to see a link to the net worth about this sports company, we went back to discussing the inheritance instead <laugh>

My point being, fans just don't learn. Whether it be Charlton, Wigan, Wednesday, Derby, Bury, Southend, Portsmouth, Coventry, Blackpool, Dogs United, The Magic Genie FC, the list just goes on.

Yeah this is undoubtedly true.

Everyone will remember '99 for United's Treble.

Everyone will remember 2004 for Arsenal going unbeaten.

Everyone will remember 2012 for AGUERRREOOOO!

Everyone will remember 2020 for Covid and not being allowed in grounds.

Fair play to them mind, they've been brilliant and it's fully deserved. Does all feel a bit hollow though.

... and everyone will remember 2015/16 of course... not least because I see it as my civic duty to continually remind you bunch of ****s <laugh>

You can add Southampton Leicester, Palace, Leeds, Sheffield United, Bradford, Forest, QPR, Blackburn, Swindon, Orient Oldham Luton, Sunderland, Ipswich, Bolton Wimbledon, Reading, Stoke, Birmingham, Hull and Stoke to your list.

31 clubs out of 92 league clubs who have experienced serious financial problems.
All but Bury, Southend, Orient and Luton have played in the Premier league.
So that's 28 ex or current premier league clubs have experienced deep financial difficulties.
Only 4 clubs have properly recovered (Leicester, Southampton, Palace and Sheffield United) and Leeds are on the verge of joining them.
That makes 24 ex premier league teams that are now or were a mess.
Then there is Torquay, Notts County, Barnett, Stockport and Hartlepool in the National league.

There is also a list of clubs like Villa who have a cloud over them.

I remember us nearly folding in 1991 and would not wish that on others tbh...not even the gooners!

I read this morning they’d been in the bottom 3 since Sept 15th and yet somehow got out of it in the 91st minute of the last game!

But points per game is fair and nothing ever changes because stats or something @astro

Gas fan has now got tetchy, all because I asked for a link to the Sports Company that he claimed was part their myserious benefactor. Funny how things can take a turn for the worse, when you ask them to prove where £24M come from. If only we could get the EFL to be a bit more thorough in their checks of someone being fit and proper.

It won't be easy, down to us to play like that again.

Not that old.

the photos age you then :)

as you weren’t alive to see Spurs last win the league, what made you become a Spurs fan.

is it family or are you from NL.

i am a Gooner as my family on my dads side are from NL, and they were either Arsenal or Spurs.
My dad was a Spurs fan, and me and him used to banter all the time about me being a Gooner as he took me to WHL as a baby and declared it as the “Mecca of Football” - he must have told me that story as least a thousand times, and would always end it with - so why do you support Arsenal :)
