Ole Ron has always been Mr Gillingham to me, had some great memories of him between the sticks. I did even go to Northfleet one time as a young lad, no one fooking told me Gravesend & Northfleet was miles from Gravesend StationObviously all before Ebbsfleet. I always thought if Gills went under, I'd probably go and watch Ebbsfleet instead. Would love to have seen that friendly against Clough's 11. I remember going up to Nott's County, standing in the shadow of Forest, made me wish I had gone and watched the old Forest play that day. I can remember a little ole boozer there just across the little bridge over the canal. Great day out as it happened.
The Fleet was my home town team as I was growing up and was lucky to have 1 grandfather who took me to the fleet until I was old enough to go with mates and my other grandfather took me to Charlton. Not sure why but when I was able to go on my own, I preferred Charlton and the rest is history so to speak.
to be honest, that line checking stuff was so bollocks. It was obvious his head was offside from a mile away. It's whether they wanted to apply that law or not. Drawing those lines on the pitch were a bit fat waste of time
Think it was more the point that Antonio , while in an offside position , was blocking the Kepa from diving on the ball .
