Logically i agree but he does seem , and get , his team to play full on game after game . I fully assumed he would put out a much weakened team in the group stages of the EL but instead it was close to the first choice .
Personally think a number of big European clubs must be watching the progress he has made with Wolves and seriously considering him as their next manager .

That could partly be down to the novelty of Wolves being back in European competition and I only say that because we done very similar under Martin Jol when we qualified for the UEFA Cup for the first time in years. We got to the QFs having played primarily our best XI and lost to eventual winners, Sevilla. After that season we never really gave the UEFA Cup/ Europa League the respect it deserved, whether that be managers picking weakened teams despite facing good sides or players clearly not giving their all, ****ing frustrated the life out of me.

Be interesting to see if Wolves miss out on CL this season whether Nuno goes full on again in Europa next season, good on him if he does though.

I guess I’m think Jiminez and Neves (championship record fee) and the keeper Patricio would have been expensive but he’d cancelled his contract with Sporting. They have some proven experiences players who you’d imagine are highly paid and the agent as you say. Like Solid Air says above, they have spent well and well managed.

Our recruitment has picked up and we buy players with a view to their value increasing but our managerial appointments are never good. We are a soft side with no fight albeit talented on our day. No plan B either.

You've not done too badly in recent years to fair mate... Ranieri won you a title and Rodgers looks like he'll be finishing in a European spot this season, whether that be CL or EL.

Only been to one final at new Wembley, thought it was ok. That was a championship play off final btw.

Went loads at the old Wembley, always loved it even though it was an absolute ****e hole.
Only saw us lose one, league (Rumbelows) cup final to Sheff Wednesday.

Won the rest, good times.
Weren't you there when we beat you in the league cup? I was sitting next to my manc mate. We both ran out of ***s. Paul Usher (Barry Brant from Brookside) was sitting in front of us. I saw him get a fresh pack of Embassy out and I politely asked if I could have one. He said "Course you can, la". My mate asked politely, to which the reply was "**** off, yer manc twat" <laugh>

1983? No, but I did go to the 83 FA cup final replay, was my first ever Wembley trip that one.

I saw you lot beat us 2-0 in the league cup final in Cardiff though, do you mean that one?

Never ones capable of long term improvement / sustainability though. They all go on an initial new manager bounce then lose the plot. Some last long like Ranieri for the whole season whereas Puel was a handful of games but we always revert to type. To be fair I didn’t want Rodgers as I just don’t like him, he is greasy and too ‘charming’. He’s Puel but with a big smile and sound bites and most of our fans fall for it. Bare in mind we’ve been playing like a pub side since early December I don’t buy the whole still 3rd thing as that more reflected by the crap behind us. As we are now with the mood as it is and momentum non existent I fully expect a repeat of Ranieri’s second season where we nearly sleep walked into relegation again next season

after 25 mins last night man city had completed 188 passes ... Newcastle 15

That was a red all day long. Ayew had a quick look then forearm smashed him in the face.

this game is one I have no interest in tbh... I have a feeling we will lose at Bournemouth .. should put west ham and villa in deeper though so I'll be delighted anyway ...

What's with the negative waves bro? Saudis mate Saudis.

Any day now, it's gonna happen.

Messi and Ronaldo in. Bournemouth won't know what's hit 'em!
