it was clearly offside … I didn't even complain about our game yesterday mate btw I think var has flaws but overall it gets a lot right and we don't se goals that are a yard or more off and we don't see red cards for no contact dives and no pens for no contact dives ..im sick of people ignoring the horrible things var has got rid of in the game

What exactly has it got rid of?

no contact dives getting pens has gone from the game … no contact red cards for elbows has gone from the game … offside goals that are yards offside has gone from the game ..

at least im being reasonable and saying it has flaws, but you guys are not prepared to acknowledge the pluses and that is all my argument ever has been mate :emoticon-0148-yes:

But i'm not going to be positive about it, I'm sick and tired of people wanting to ruin the game with technology. You got yer goal-line technology and that is where it should have ended, but no one rule leads to another, and now we have this monstrosity. We survived perfectly fine for a century without it. The ref howlers were always the talking points down the boozer, but it's what made the game. We just seem to pamper to every little thing these days. Stick half these players on rugby field and they wouldn't last two minutes, before they were down crying.

We don't want out lives let alone our national game, dictated to by tv cameras. The game is about sportsmanship...do you understand that word. Mistakes are made by officials, it's always been the same, it's not our fault the billionaires want to turn it into their little play thing, with VAR as an insurance policy.

sportsmanship was gone from this game decades ago when players started diving to win pens and running around saying sshhh. The reason VAR was brought in was to stop that kind of thing happening and it's worked in some areas … Like I say there's things need looking at , but I will not yield my position as far as the good things its eliminated from the game.. I don't know how more reasonable I can be tbh

Trying going to some games mate, then comeback and discuss it with us.

He also chose to use a clear and obvious mistake. The issue isn’t with VAR ruling out clear and obvious mistakes, but he knows this. He’s just a one eyed plastic Kopite.

So you want VAR to fix clear mistakes, but allow allow little mistakes? How little does a mistake have to be to count?

I have been to milan ive been to loads including city and everton this season … why would that even matter though? why are you being a dick mate lol I dunno how much more reasonable I can be …

Something that can be seen with the naked eye without needing to draw lines and having to spending 3/4 minutes deciding. If you can’t see the mistake clearly on the first replay it ain’t clear and obvious, it’s not complicated.

It's not stopped the cheating at all, it's made it worse! I'm sick and tired of fully grown men, doing crocodile death rolls, everytime someone so much has breaths on them. Personally they need their nuts stepping on, to stop them cheating.
More importantly, it's not correcting the mistakes it set out to deal with. It's just adding another layer of subjectivity to the whole decision making process and coming out with some ludicrous decisions that are completely against the spirit of the game.

Some of us might have pointed this out before it came in. Just saying.

Where you don’t need a ****ing slide rule to measure a millimeters offside.

The Wolves one was obvious by eye. They draw the lines because they have to not because they need them.

Why wasn't all of this discussion going on when Firmino's goal was ruled offside?
