Arsenal have no passion at all, none of them bothering to close down City. It's like they have arrogance born out of nothing, why do they think they're exempt from defensive work? It's like they all believe they play total football and the opponents have to stop them.

Ozil is the only player in their entire squad who possesses the technical ability to warrant such arrogance.

Don't worry Arsenal, the City fans and players won't realise that your stadium has emptied, that's normal for them.
 
Based on that Arsenal look extremely underwhelming, not what I was expecting tbh.
 
Bit better in the second half, but still couldn't finish anything off despite making a few more chances. Thought we could have kicked on if we'd put one of them away. But it was always going to be a tough day playing City. They are superb all over the pitch and didn't even really have to get out of 3rd gear today.

Anyway, tough lesson for the new lads and manager, but one they'll learn from. We ain't going to be title challengers overnight, this project will take time.

Yeah they could have murdered us if they really turned the screw today.

Guendouzi did okay today as did Torreira when he came on. I'd start one of those two every week ahead of Xhaka.

Always tough to judge this unfamiliar Arsenal side based on one game against the champions. City are scarily good though, they could have been playing against anyone today. We were comfortably second best in every department.

Nah, he was up against some of the best midfielders in the PL and did well. Yes he made a couple of mistakes, but the lad is 18 years old and thrown in at the deep end today.

He did enough for me to suggest that he could be a really good player in the middle for us.
 
I think you lads have took what I said completely out of context. I know he was up against some of the best midfielders in the game, which is why he looked completely out of his depth. We'll see how he is against lesser teams because I learned nothing about him today.
