As for other clubs coming in for our players, I think that having Levy as our chairman puts most people off.

Possibly, there were rumours that City were interested in Bertrand but they usually end up at Liverpool. City apparently also wanted VVD but wouldn't pay the money Liverpool would.

I don't know, sure Levy is probably hard to deal with, but if City come along with real desire to get one of your players then it will most likely happen. The agent/player will just kick off enough that Levy is put in a situation where getting the highest fee is the best outcome and City have deep enough pockets to do that.

That's what happened with Walker, but I don't think that City are interested in anyone that we've got, thankfully.
If there have been any rumours, then I've missed them and I can't see who they'd be looking at with their current squad.
Alderweireld, perhaps? His recent injury problems might be a little too reminiscent of Kompany, though. Probably off to PSG.

If its a player City really want i think they'll pay top dollar.

However they have been reluctant to stupid money for someone they want but don't think is essential (see VVD and Sanchez).

As for Levy he'd done a good job selling players at top value. I'm actually surprised the players he buys keep signing silly long contracts but i guess that's partly to do with who they are buying (young up and comers) and Poch who the players seem to really enjoy
 
I can't believe the modern day fan wanting other teams to win trophies just so they can have a giggle on here at the expense of an individual

Surely a true fan doesn't want any domestic rival to win a trophy in Europe.

The thing is the team who wins it, let's say Pool, them fans will be rubbing your noses in it but that don't matter you just want to make it about Hiag and would go to such extremes as to want your domestic rivals to win trophies.

I'm lost for words...therefore I shall just be quiet

I agree. Always confuses me when people say "I want the English team to win it". If it is not my team (which it never ****ing is) then I don't want any English team to win it. I know far more Liverpool fans who will be insufferable ****s than I do Real/Roma/Bayern fans.

I’m indifferent to pool winning it. If they get knocked out there’s still ****s n giggles winding them up.

But It’s a broader wind up than just HIAG, but for the purposes of here it would be funny seeing him get the humble pie rammed down his throat.

Surprised you don’t understand how the rules of Bantz works fam.

i never said i wanted liverpool to win it. I just said there are positives to it in that some of the wumming would be funny.

I think it's only Piskie who has said he wants liverpool to win.

Either way it'll be win win meltdown on both sides are guaranteed

I did, but I should clarify again that it’s only to see the spuds and Mancs wet their pants about it.

There’s still good value in wumming the scousers if they get knocked out :)

What Saintsmagic said should override any of them feelings...these teams are not in our league.

Plus you put me in the difficult position where you will be having pops at my team and I'm going to have to get involved

I do understand the rules but you need to understand the difficult position you will put me in.

You'll be ripping my team up....how can I just ignore it? I'm going to have to get involved, don't want to...but you know
