Scott McTominay has chosen Scotland over England.

Southgate proving how good he is there.

I wonder if all of the world class CM's England have got has put him off.

Anyone watch italian footy?

Fiorentina captain and Italy international Davide Astori has died at the age of 31.

The defender died following a "sudden illness", his club confirmed on their official Twitter feed.

Fiorentina were scheduled to play Udinese in Serie A on Sunday afternoon but the game and all other Serie A fixtures were called off.

Astori, capped 14 times by Italy, joined Fiorentina in 2016 from Cagliari and had made 58 appearances for them

Seems to be a regular thing young footballers dying of heart attacks.

It’s still quite a surprise that some actually die, because they have so many tests and medicals you would think that any heart irregularities would be detected and treated.

nah. Bellerin hasn't been great but I'd have bellerin over both your FBs.

Tripps is good against 90% of the league and has great crossing ability. He's not 1 to dominate a 1 on 1 imo when the player is superior but Spurs are such a dominant team (generally) he isn't exposed. He is your version of Alonso, consistent 8/10 performances but he won't be like a walker to dominate. Aurier on the other hand is like a Walker who can physically impose himself except that he's always got a stupid mistake/tackle in him which if he irons out would make him a world class FB.

Fair analysis of our FBs, I'd say though that Tripps doesn't need to dominate an opponent one-on-one, his crossing and ability to find space negates the need to just run at and beat an opposing FB with speed/ power, while he doesn't often get beat by many when on the back foot these days as his defending has improved ten-fold over the past year or so.

When it comes to Bellerin, all I see is a very, very poor man's Walker. Lightning speed, quite possibly the fastest player in the Prem but offers next to nothing else. He's still young so got time on side to improve but as of right now, I'd have our two - especially Tripps - any day of the week.

Or something more sinister. Like supplements they are forced to take.

Yeah maybe. Hadn’t thought of that. Their bodies are definitely put through the rigours and tested to the max. But I reckon there’s probably a whole **** storm under the surface about doping in football that’s yet to come to light.

My lad had to have heart tests at Cardiff. I think it's done at all clubs just that some are totally unexpected.

Most sudden heart failures are very often down to genetic faults in the heart’s ‘electrical’ system.

A lot of it is still not really understood. Which is probably why these faults are so hard to detect with normal ECG’s and the like.
Also a lot of luck as Asa Hartford went undetected with a hole in the heart, failed a Leeds medical but still went on to have a distinguished career.

Hazard was pathetic. He put absolutely no effort in.
