I think it's a case of taking the 'opportunity', if opportunity is the right word, more so than 'looking for it'.

In the role and the style that he plays, he's often in scenarios where opposition players lunge-in in dangerous areas (in or around the box) and so he then makes the decision of whether to take them on/ invite contact/ or in some cases just outright dive. I don't condone the latter two options, it's embarrassing but unfortunately its been part of the game for a while now and many players do it, Alli is just scrutinised more because he's in the public spotlight.

Alli's basically taken over the mantle of what the likes of Suarez and Costa had - the leagues' ****.

I think most players will go down if the 'opportunity' arises, i.e they've felt some contact. But the difference with Alli is that he goes looking for it in almost every game. Also he will dive even when there is no contact, deliberately trying to con the ref. It's cheating in the worst way possible really. I hope he gets a long ban at some point, because currently nobody is pulling him up for it. I want him to go to the WC and perform for England and I want him to cut this **** out before he gets there.

No, I watched it. You're just deflecting. You've been doing it for almost 10 pages <ok>
Deflecting from what? An Arsenal fan moaning about someone else's player diving, when he admits that he didn't?
Why would I deflect from that? I'm laughing at your ridiculous hypocrisy.

The Spurs fans on this forum all condemn Alli's dives. I've seen nothing from you about Arsenal doing it every week.

If you'd read my comment properly instead of swinging your handbag around, then you would have seen that I said it was a pen, but Alli still threw himself to the ground theatrically, and raised the question again about his incessant diving antics. <ok>

Instead you went off on one posting videos about Emmanuel ****ing Eboue <laugh>

His attitude reminds me of Jack Whilshere.
Cocky, annoying, can be a real twat but also, an amazing player.
Their symptoms present differently but if both sorted out their attitude they could be world beaters.

There's a case to argue though that it's their attitude that makes them great players.

They have a fire in them that not many players have and in Alli's instance, he's a cocky and sly **** but that confidence/ arrogance is what allows him to do some special stuff on the pitch.

While I'd love for him to cut out the diving, I'd never really want him to change much else because his personality is partly what allows him to be such a good player.

This one seems a real ****y *****.

I bet he loves a petition.
