It was a foul or not? He aired the ball and kicked Lamela instead...that's a foul anywhere else on the pitch

It wasn't a foul. It's a contact sport, and not every contact is a foul. Lamela deliberately put himself in the line of VVD clearing the ball. No foul for me.

Reactions: Skylarker
To be fair liverpool only have themselves to blame. That dominated spurs in the first half and they decided to drop off in the 2nd.

Except they didnt do it properly either do the full press like the first half or dont do it at all.

Pressing in 1s and 2s means the forwards get knackered and they play it easily round you
I've noticed this with Liverpool under Klopp in the past, to be honest.
They run around like men possessed in the first half, but can't do it for 90 minutes.
Pochettino made a couple of tactical changes at HT, but they shouldn't have been as effective as they were.

They had a ton of chances and should have had this game wrapped up by HT tbh. But at 1-0 it was always going to be on a knife edge. For all of their energy and dominance, they just don't seem to be able to put games to bed.
