You Goons and Chavs do realise you're playing each other this weekend?

Too busy jerking each other off over several threads to Spurs draw yesterday.:bandit:

Yep I'd imagine we are aware of that, are you hoping for another bore draw or would you like to see a victor?

Couldn't give a toss who wins mate, as long as it's a good game.<cheers>

Of course, HIAG is going to have a field day regardless of the result as only one, or neither of you, will score more points than Spurs this week, despite the love in.

Well, he can try mate but after the coatings I've given him of late I'd imagine he'd be reluctant to come back for more.

Out of interest I noted that one Spudlet was suggesting a return of Harry to manage you as the present incumbent doesn't seem to have the nous especially against teams lower than 6th. Do you agree with that incredible statement?

I'm sure they were merely joshing.

Was a big fan of Harry and am on record of my displeasure at his sacking and even more over the appointment of AVB. But 'Poochy' is the way forward for us.
This season was always going to be tough for us using Wembley and have said top 6 would be a good finish. Hope we can settle into our new stadium quick and crack on with the good progress we've made over the last few seasons.:)

Do you think the 'Spuds' are going to be able to maintain top 4 finishes in the future? Or fall back to mid table?

I honestly think this year Wembley is the monkey on your back as we have seen with 2 points out of 9 taken and perhaps a fortuitous result against the Germans in midweek. I think if you can secure a Europa place you will have done well. What's your opinion of your new signings this season? I know it's early but just a thought.

Hard to say with the market as bonkers as it is, but Llorente aside, we've bought a few young defenders who should do well given time.
My main concern is the 'Wormtongue' agents sniffing a big payday trying to flog off our key players should we have a mare of a season. So winning any type of silverware could be crucial this season.

I think they don't establish themselves as a top 4 club in the next few seasons, then they inevitably will fall back into mid table. It's ****-or-bust for your club in the next few seasons, because you haven't had a better squad or a better coach since Keith Burkinshaw.

If you don't cement your position at the top of the tree before this squad gets broken up and this coach leaves, then you will be back to the odd cup win and Europa League run.

Being a Saints fan of a certain vintage, I have a visceral resentment of Spurs that I can't really explain, but which probably goes back to the 1977/78 season when we both got promoted to the 1st division. That said, I sincerely hope you do gatecrash the top table on a long term basis.

We started well and Fab dictated the game for the first 20 minutes but Arsenal have done well to get back into the game and were unlucky to open the scoring.

Its a ******ed team conte has put out. The way to beat arsenal is to beat them physically. He's picking the exact crapness that we had in the wembley matches.

He needs to get control of that midfield and take fab out and start bakayoko. Don't get me started on Cahill either, we can't keep the ball against the good sides whilst he's in defence. Very disappointed if we don't win this as i believe its a line up issue

Bakayoko on.
