Hypothetical (if anyone is arsed). If a free kick is played off a wall to a player standing offside on the pen spot who then scores - is it a goal? Surely standing in a wall means you are deliberately intending to play the ball?

Discuss. (Or watch the game. Or discuss after United go 3-1 up and the game is over).

Didn't say either of those bits in bold.

My view on tonight's goal is that he was interfering with play and gained an advantage by being in that position, as if he wasn't the goal wouldn't have happened. My opinion; it's a game of them and there's very few definites in football.

I've also said that there's an issue with scrutinizing each letter of the laws and ignoring common sense, as the laws weren't written to that effect and football's an imperfect game.

I also never mentioned a bounce, that's your word again. I simply agreed with PNP that if a deliberate touch negates offside then that should also apply to a cross where a defender has deliberately blocked it.

Enjoy the game mate <ok>
This must have been someone else then mate, apologies.

Fair play to Fulham.

They may not have got anything from the game tonight but carry on playing like they are and they won't be getting relegated.
