I thought the linesmen weren't supposed to flag when its as close as that.
Having said that the defenders stopped, although even if they hadn't they wouldn't get back. The keeper put no effort into saving it though

Might as well do away with the officials and leave everything to VAR

We never win on TV :(
Mate, you've got no chance, Hollywood cliche is against you.

A young boy watches from the terraces as his dad becomes a hero at a sports-team. He hopes to follow in his father's footsteps, but isn't quite good enough. And so his journeyman career takes him from one small twn team to another, well below the big league his dad played in. Then the stars align, just as his career is over, the unlikeliest of chances comes.
David Martin is going to win the FA cup with West Ham, just like his dad did.

I thought players were supposed to play to the whistle, it's been a thing since the 19th century.

I don't mind the losing as long has we put in a reasonably decent performance. Last Prem name we had was Spurs and they pumped us 5-0 at WHL. We tend to do better on home turf, knocked out Cardiff at home last season, before losing to Swansea away.

Human nature for a player to hesitate when the flag goes up, even if it’s only for a fraction of a second it could make a difference. Not right.
