No pundit, including ex referee Walton on BT seems even to know about the extract from the Offside Law I quoted earlier....
This is why dgc is the most knowledgeable spurs fan
he jumped, that is making an attempt. No pundit, including ex referee Walton on BT seems even to know about the extract from the Offside Law I quoted earlier....
"If a player in an offside position is moving towards the ball with the intention of playing the ball and is fouled before playing or attempting to play the ball, or challenging an opponent for the ball, the foul is penalised as it has occurred before the offside offence"
Kane was moving towards the ball but got fouled before he could jump so it was a penalty. Whether that Law is sensible is another matter.....you could make a case either way.
He didn't. He was pushed before he could jump.he jumped, that is making an attempt.

Hope you get hit by a tram![]()
Pundits are mostly ex-professional players so they probably do know the laws but hey **** them you seem to know it all, I'm with you Oracle. He didn't. He was pushed before he could jump.
Anyway that wasn't my point. My point was that the pundits don't know the Laws. They should have been discussing whether he broke that Law which specifically allows him to move towards the ball. They all said he was offside because he moved towards the ball.
