The funniest thing about the spying saga, is Hull fans thinking they're everyone's second team now. Only reason anyone wants them up is there's only 2 other relegation spaces to fill.

Boro for me. Nice people in my experience. Sort of drek place that deserves a nice thing rather than a drek place that doesn’t. Not hugely arsed though either way.

I think the fairest way to resolve this situation is to make the two clubs replay the tie, then you play your tactics without the spying or excuses. I really don't like the idea of group of people just sitting round a table and making up the punishment, the punishment should have been obvious within the rules. Lack of detail leads to these situations, stringent governance should be clear, it's the failure once again of our governing bodies to manage the game. If the punishment was clear the breach would not have happened, at best from example they could only expect a fine, the punishment is disproportianate to the offence or historic examples. Middlesborough could also take the Saints to court for loss of earnings, so make them replay the event and we are back on an even keel.

Simplest thing in this case is promote Hull and tell the other two tough ****e you're in the Championship next season.

One because they lost anyway so STFU and the other because they have broken whatever rules they plan to now retrospectively put in place.

They haven't got time for a hearing boys, soz, you're not going up.

This is clearly the best and most obvious solution.

Saints cheated, have to be penalised.
If they weren't, Boro appeal.
Boro lost, so shouldn't be in the final.
If they do go into the final and win, Hull will appeal.

The championship may well want their showcase game but, tough ****e, as the appeals and legal action that inevitably follows all this will be more of a ballache.

Yeah, clearly a complete prick.

Not too different to most of them tbh.

Well, the new age of them anyway.

I remember going up to Maine Rd in the late 80's and early 90's and Man City had a decent following of long suffering fans who stuck by them

But since the oil barons came in and the new wave of Poznan ****ers started following them (a celebration that they nicked off another team) they've just become the ultimate plastic club.

There is another solution. Promote Hull by default, then let Middlesbrough and Millwall play for a fourth promotion place and relegate both West Ham and Tottenham.

This gets my vote <ok>

If you make both clubs replay you avoid all lawsuits. Otherwise whatever other situation is applied someone will try and make a financial claim. The Final does not have be played at Wembley, there are other big capacity stadiums that can probably be used, if dates become a problem.

Also a good solution.

Pretty much -

Footballing success is now being dictated by a bunch of knobjockeys with spreadsheets and convoluted rules and codes of conduct ... not on the pitch ... complete ****ing shambles ...
