Unbelievable game that, keeps it exciting for a bit longer.

Shame about the ending with the sending off but as already said, it's the rules. I don't agree with the decision but it has to be accepted.

It doesn’t. They could bin VAR off tomorrow if they wanted to.

BUT VAR should not intervene like that unless it affects the result of the game

Man City could finish 2nd by a goal difference of one now
 
If you’re going to have VAR it’s going to intervene. They can’t just switch it off and on depending on when in the game stuff happens or the scoreline. You either scrap it or stupid things happen.

Only caveat is the ref isn’t obliged to abide by what he’s told. He’s still ultimately the authority on the match. But he risks his career progression by telling the bod in Uxbridge he’s ignoring it. So scrapping it is the unlikely but best and possible solution.

Was one a few weeks ago where a ref went to the screen. That normally means a decision will be overturned, he stuck with his on field decision.
